Evolution of deformation mechanism and fluid flow in two pre-rift siliciclastic deposits (Pannonian Basin, Hungary)

چکیده
Distinct stages of deformation and fluid flow-related diagenetic alterations are recorded in Lower Miocene sandstone conglomerate the Pannonian Basin, Central Europe. Multiple generations structural elements (deformation bands, calcite dominoes veins) as well host rocks were investigated using petrographical, elemental stable isotope geochemical methods together with inclusion petrography microthermometry. The integration acquired data into a subsidence model constrains spatial temporal evolution mechanisms processes. six sites represent central marginal areas during both pre-rift syn-rift phases basin evolution. preserved at eastern margin, where eogenetic precipitated early types bands. Their ?18OPDB values from ?4.3‰ to ?1.9‰ paired ?13CPDB ?3.8‰ 1.8‰ refer precipitation connate marine mixed meteoric pore water. represented by start shallow mesogenetic position centre. ratios these calcites yielded ?15.2‰ ?5.7‰ ?18.5‰ -–1.6‰, respectively. gradual depletion heavy isotopes shows positive covariance progressed time. This trend is attributed an increasing proportion deeply circulating fluid. sporadic confirm contribution certain carbonate cement phases. distinguished mainly related intense that, increased rift-related heat flow, warmed up fluids. deviating general allow recognition local source light carbon basin-wide fluid-flow evolution, cannot be tied switch tectonic settings compression extension.

The objective of this research is to develop an accurate numerical method to be used in showing the deformation of a liquid fuel droplet in a convective field. To simultaneously solve the internal liquid droplet flow field as well as the external gas phase flow field, a nonstaggered rectangular grid system without any coordinate transformation is used. Transition from the gas field to the liqui...

متن کاملCoupled fluid flow and geomechanical deformation modeling
Accurate prediction of reservoir production in structurally weak geologic areas requires both mechanical deformation and fluid flow modeling. Loose staggered-in-time coupling of two independent flow and mechanics simulators captures much of the complex physics at a substantially reduced cost.
